PSL Islamabad
United players 2020 is placed here. Having won two of the first three seasons
of the Pakistan Super League, Islamabad United will like to ensure they can
put up a decent performance in the fifth season as well.
Islamabad United
opted to retain all the eight players allowed with Shadab Khan leading the
pack as their Platinum player. They will also have all-rounder Faheem Ashraf,
who has been put in the Diamond Category but more importantly will be their
Brand Ambassador.
Asif Ali will
also be a Diamond pick retained, along with the likes of Luke Ronchi, who
will also be a player mentor, left-handed batsman Hussain Talat, pace bowlers
Amad Butt and Musa Khan and batsman Rizwan Hussain.
Among those, they
released include Englishman Alex Hales, South Africa’s Cameron Delport and
West Indian Chadwick Walton.
During the draft,
Islamabad United brought in South African legend seamer Dale Steyn, along
with the two Colins, hard-hitting batsmen, Ingram and Munro. Phil Salt has
had his taste of PSL in the past and he returns as a pick with the United,
but the biggest overseas pick was Rassie van der Dussen, who is said to be
the batsman to watch for in the future.
Pakistani players
brought in during the draft included Rumman Raees, a left-arm pacer who will
add to the side’s resources along with Zafar Gohar, Aqib Javed, Ahmed Sultan
and Saif Badar.

Key Players on
Islamabad United Team 2020
Shadab Khan:
Named the vice-captain of the Islamabad United, Shadab Khan will look to add
batting and bowling strength to the side. His expertise at number seven will
be most valuable to the side.
Fahim Ashraf:
Lately there has been a lot of criticism about Ashraf for his lack of batting
skills. This would be a good time to add another feather to his cap and kick
on from that century he hit during the 2017 Champions Trophy
Asif Ali: Another
player reeling from a bit of criticism because of his recent lack of form but
the PSL is where he had made his name and this would be a good opportunity to
get back into a full rhythm here.
Last year, in
what was exciting news for the Islamabad United fans, Waqar Younis joined the
side as their fast bowling coach. Earlier, they had lost the services of
Wasim Akram to Multan Sultans, but the signing up of Waqar will do their side
no harm whatsoever. Australia’s Dean Jones is the head coach while Shoaib
Akhtar is the bowling coach for Islamabad United.
The side was
bought by the UAE Capital Venture group for $1.5 million US dollars and they
have put some very able minds in charge of the side.
The team is
beautifully balanced on paper and they can go in with a variety of
combinations. Also, with the kind of coaches they have, it will be very
disappointing if they do not go very far in the tournament.
The 2019 edition
of the PSL will be the first season in which the Islamabad United will be
without Misbah ul Haq who has decided to hang up his boots. Islamabad United
PSL team squad is placed above.

Multan Sultan
players 2020 roster is placed here. The Multan Sultans were added to 5
existing teams at the top of the second edition of the tournament, but the
news that came in before the beginning of the fourth was their contract had
been terminated. Going into the fifth season of the PSL, Multan Sultans have
retained Platinum player Mohammad Irfan who had recently played for Pakistan
again and Boom Boom Shahid Afridi as a Diamond Player and Player Mentor.
The Gold Category
retainees are James Vince and Junaid Khan, while Shan Masood (silver) and
Mohammad Illyas are the opposite players retained.
Andre Russell has
opted to not play within the competition and had to be released, while the
others who haven't been picked by the team include Chris Green, Mohammad
Abbas, Nicholas Pooran and Numan Ali.
It’s surprising
that the Multan Sultans haven’t really gone for the hard-hitting batsmen
especially for his or her home games where the pitches are going to be flat.
Moeen Ali was their first Draft pick, while South African Rilee Rossouw has
also made it to the side.
Ravi Bopara, who
looked to get on his answer from cricket, had an excellent season at the T20
Blast in 2019 and is back to the reckoning. He are going to be their key
player with the bat and therefore the ball. be careful for Pakistani seamer
Sohail Tanvir who will look to form most of his chances too. Multan Sultans
PSL 2020 squad is placed below.

Key Players on
Multan Sultans Team 2020
Shahid Afridi:
Afridi may be a legend of the sport and for all one knows, won't play an
excessive amount of longer. So watch him while he’s still around as he
continues to deliver with the bat and ball respectively and sometimes reverse
those roles too.
Ravi Bopara: An
all-rounder who has had a taste of the PSL within the past and done well too.
He had an honest season with the T20 Blast which should boost his confidence
and it'll be interesting to ascertain how his bowling goes on the flatter
pitches of Pakistan.
Moeen Ali: Another
all-rounder, the third during this list and it shows the worth of such
players. Moeen offers tons in terms of his off-spin but it'll be interesting
to ascertain how he goes with the bat given he has been dropped from the
britain Test team.
Wasim Akram
joined the squad because the cricket operations director of the side and Tom
Moody joins the team as their head coach and that they are often expected to
stay a neighborhood of the set-up even for the new team.
The Schon Group
had won the rights to have the Multan Sultans team, and therefore the team
was based in Multan, joining the Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, Lahore
Qalandars, Karachi Kings and Islamabad United. However, they were unable to
stay pace with paying the PSL money for the fourth season too and were
suspended from the competition.
One of the
explanations why a sixth team was included within the PSL is to take
advantage on the ever-increasing popularity of the cricket league. Last
season, Pakistan cricket fans had taken to the PSL like fish to water,
surpassing most expectations as far as TV ratings are concerned. The Multan
Sultan squad is placed above.
